/ TIGER AIBU NAWA THE ART OF THE LOVING ROPE With Han Yuka Zuri /// Partia
l Suspension The Second Chapter of Tiger Nawa Ryū Learn to listen. Rope c
an hold the body. But it can also listen to it. Level 2 is a two-module im
mersion into Aibu Nawa: the loving\, caressing language of rope. After Lev
el 1 introduced rope handling\, tension\, frictions and foundational struc
tures\, Level 2 turns towards the quality of the encounter itself. We expl
ore Ki\, presence\, pacing and deep listening. We train rope as somatic co
 mmunication: touch\, rhythm\, pressure\, stillness\, invitation and pleasu
re. At the heart of Aibu Nawa is a clear intention: to give pleasure to th
 e Ukete. The Bakushi uses rope\, touch\, attention\, proximity\, rhythm an
d restraint to discover what feels pleasurable for the person receiving. T
he Ukete’s responses guide the tie. Aibu Nawa is first a language of pre
 sence. The Bakushi—the person tying—trains attention\, touch\, positio
ning\, proximity and pacing. The Ukete—the person receiving—does not s
imply have rope applied to them. Both people participate in an experience
created together\, while the Bakushi places the Ukete’s pleasure at the
centre of the tie. The principle is not: “I tie you.” It is: “Let’
s tie together.” Aibu Nawa can be slow or fast\, soft or firm\, emotiona
l or calm\, creative or grounded. It is not defined by one knot\, pattern
or structural outcome. It is an approach to rope rooted in presence\, sens
itivity and deep relational awareness. PLEASURE AS THE COMPASS Pleasure in
Aibu Nawa is not limited to softness or sexual sensation. It may emerge t
 hrough caress\, anticipation\, restraint\, pressure\, vulnerability\, inte
nsity\, surrender\, stillness or the feeling of being completely attended
to. Pleasure is individual. Nothing is assumed to feel good simply because
it is part of Aibu Nawa. The Bakushi listens\, observes and adapts so tha
t the rope responds to this Ukete\, in this body\, in this moment. TWO MOD
ULES /// ONE JOURNEY MODULE A /// FOUNDATIONS OF LOVING ROPE Presence\, po
sitioning\, Ki\, Nawajiri\, active listening and Aibu structures. MODULE B
/// AIBU NAWA THROUGH HAN YUKA ZURI Structure\, guided movement\, body po
sitioning and partial suspension. The modules may be booked together as th
e complete Level 2 weekend or attended separately by participants who meet
the prerequisites for their chosen module. FROM TECHNIQUE TO CONNECTION L
evel 1 begins teaching you how rope works. Level 2 begins teaching you how
rope feels. Technique now becomes the vehicle through which attention\, i
ntention and emotion can travel. How does changing pace affect the person
receiving? How does proximity alter connection? What creates pleasure for
this Ukete? What does the body communicate before words are spoken? How ca
n rope guide without forcing? How do we recognise when to deepen\, pause o
r return? Students are not expected to create from an empty space. Each st
udy begins with a clear structure or defined starting point. Once its func
tion is understood\, we explore feeling\, variation\, connection and creat
ive possibility. Learn the structure. Feel its effect. Listen to the respo
nse. Allow the experience to unfold. WHAT YOU WILL DEVELOP PRESENCE\, KI A
ND TRANSMISSION • Breath\, pace and attention • Co-regulation and nerv
ous-system awareness • Rope as a conductor of attention and energy • W
aves of energy and direction • Rhythm\, pressure\, movement and stillnes

 • Reading micro-responses • Recognising changes in breath\, posture an
d state • Discovering what gives pleasure to the Ukete • Shaping sensa
tion through touch\, pressure\, pace and restraint • Verbal and non-verb
al consent cues • Knowing when to deepen\, pause or return • Remaining
responsive while working with structure STRUCTURE AND EXPRESSION • Nawa
jiri as expression and active listening • Ippon Nawa anchor studies •
