erstanding how breath comes into play in rope\, and how to play with airfl
ow to intensify your scenes. See below for details on pre-requisites and s
ee here for our class levels explained. 👉 Our events deal with adult th
emes. You must be 18+ to join. 🪢 About the class Many of us affect brea
thing in rope to some extent\, whether intentionally or unintentionally. E
ven something as simple as a waist rope\, or a chest wrap in a harness\, c
an influence how someone breathes. For those who enjoy incorporating this
into their play and increasing intensity\, how many of us truly understand
the mechanics of breathing? How many of us feel confident in taking a pre
cise\, intentional approach? How do body positioning\, movement\, and addi
tional ropes change the way breathing is affected? This workshop focuses o
n how body positioning can affect breathing. Rope will\, of course\, be us
ed throughout\, but the emphasis is on understanding the mechanics of brea
thing so that any interaction with breathplay is approached with greater i
ntention and precision. We’ll explore how body positioning and rope inte
ract\, how to recognise the effects of different positions\, and how obser
vation and awareness can shape a scene. Understanding breathing\, body mec
hanics\, and the body’s responses allows us to approach these dynamics w
ith greater confidence\, precision\, and care. The session will focus on u
nderstanding the physiology of breathing\, the relationship between body p
ositioning and breath restriction\, and the role rope can play in influenc
ing posture and movement. Along the way\, we’ll also look at a few addit
ional breathplay concepts that can complement these dynamics and broaden y
our understanding of this style of play. Workshop objectives Understand th
e anatomy and physiology of breathing Understand how body position\, load
and rope placement change breathing mechanics Recognise the body's respons
es\, including the signs that are easy to miss Explore the physical and ps
ychological considerations of this kind of play Learn how to apply this in
your rope\, and where the limits sit 👩‍🏫 Who teaches this class?
Pen and Gala enjoy exploring intensity within rope. However\, they\, do th
is knowing that even when playing with intensity and deep power exchange a
nd/or surrender\, they don’t want to cause harm or break each other. Pen
and Gala’s approach to this topic is simple: risk can be understood\, b
ut never eliminated. Rather than relying on rules or absolutes\, we aim to
give participants the knowledge and confidence to assess situations\, com
municate effectively\, and make informed decisions throughout their rope p
ractice. Pen Pen (he/him) is a bottom-leaning rope switch from the UK who
loves exploring the emotions and vulnerability of shibari. Initially\, he
approached Shibari as ‘just another form of bondage’\, but soon realis
ed it is something much more profound than this. Pen ties with many people
with different styles\, but he always falls back towards his love for pow
er exchange and surrender. - “The worst way to torture Pen is to tie him
in a way that is easy to escape..” He has taught and performed at event
s across the UK\, Europe\, the US\, and Southeast Asia. Passionate about r
ope bottoming education and safety\, he uses his extensive training in hum
an anatomy and physiology to empower both bottoms and riggers to explore r
ope play more safely and freely. Contact: kinknamepending@gmail.com or ins

na who began her journey in rope 5 years ago as a bottom together with her
partner Vik. Over time\, she became curious about the role of rigger\, fi
rst exploring self-tying and self-suspension before starting to tie others
. Influenced by Semenawa and her BDSM background\, she developed a unique
 style that combines darkness\, strength\, delicacy\, eroticism\, closeness
and instinct. Gala has performed\, modeled and taught internationally as
both bottom and rigger. Her recent highligh\nHosted by Anatomie\nhttps://w
