rope\,” comes from the Yukimura Ryū tradition and contrasts with the m
ore commonly known Semenawa ( Tormenting rope ). It is about using rope te
nderly\, seeking connection through subtlety rather than intensity. Each c
lass will explore a theme or sequence in depth through the lenses of holdi
ng space\, somatic awareness\, exposure\, and power exchange . Drawing fro
m somatic bodywork and breathwork\, we will use rope as a tool for nervous
system regulation\, creative expression\, and 3rotic dialogue. This works
hop will explore the theatre of movement and how body manipulation and bra
very are essential to unlocking and exploring the juicy\, hypnotic emotion
al landscapes of rope. The workshop will be predominantly floor-based\, us
ing just a few ropes to explore the nuances of this emotive style of tying
. What to Expect This 3-hour evening class combines a 2-hour structured le
sson with 1 hour of supervised free tying \, allowing you to explore the m
aterial at your own pace. The structured portion will focus on one simplif
ied sequence or concept\, which will be repeated and refined to develop fl
uency and embodied understanding. During the free-tying portion\, particip
ants can practise what they have learned while Conor circulates through th
 e room\, offering personalised feedback\, answering questions\, and helpin
g troubleshoot challenges. The intention is to deepen confidence in play\,
encourage independent exploration\, and nurture connection. The session i
s predominantly floor-based \, using a single lowered suspension point to
gently elevate limbs\, maintaining closeness and body contact throughout.
With only 3–5 ropes \, we will prioritise connection over construction\,
using rope to tease out sensuality\, creativity and trust. Information Wh
at to Bring Comfortable\, movement-friendly clothing. We will explore them
es of exposure and undressing\, so Yoga clothes might not be the best opti
